The Holy Grail of the devout BPer is to earn 1,000 BPs in a week. It's an arbitrary mark, but a great one. Due to the occasional variance in the time between EGRL updates, I simply knocked this down maintaining the pace that would be required to achieve 1kBps if it was 7 days between updates, 142.86 per day. Anyone making, or beating, that rate of BP gain showed up in a red font for that week, and received a star next to their names in the EGRL. That star carried over to subsequent updates as bragging rights. This is what people mean when you occasionally see them talking about "red pace" or "getting a star."

After a major fiasco in March, 2004, I stopped doing updates (no, Wade's hissy fit wasn't the last straw, it was James that put me over the edge). I still occasionally bother to remember to vote, and, more rarely, get back into the swing of things on my alt (the highest ranked Vagrant nyah nyah). When the latter happens, I'll start hanging out in thread to encourage *cough* egg on from a safe distance *cough* whomever has undertaken *cough* been foolish enough to bother with *cough* the task of list maintenance. People achieving that Holy Grail will be noted on these pages, but please keep in mind that I was only doing the list for ~½ the time that the current system has existed (prior to September 2002, you could only earn Blams and, even then, only if you were the final, deciding vote), and I'm the only one who attempted to track ALL Elite Guards. Since I haven't been managing the list, I haven't been keeping track of who did what. If someone should be listed here, but there's no backup from the list postings ... sorry, I need that too. If someone should be listed here, and that fact is documented in thread by whomever was managing the list at the time, let me know who they are, the relevant pages, and I'll get them added.
